Bathroom is a place to relax and soothe your jagged nerves. If the bathroom
vanity countertop is cluttered with make up, toiletries, brushes and other grooming
products, the bathrooms will look far from relaxing or soothing. To give the
bathroom an organized look, these items have to go somewhere. This immediately
brings to mind, bathroom vanity cabinets.
Bathroom cabinets come broadly under two categories. They are Laminate and wood.

Another classification of cabinets is: -- Stock, Semi- Custom, Custom.
Stock cabinets are mass-produced, semi-custom are stock cabinets that can be
altered to fit the space requirements and custom cabinets are built to individual
specifications. These terms refer to production methods and in no way to quality
types.
Stock is the most popular cabinetry. They are readily available. Delivery time is usually a week to 10 days. The disadvantage with stock cabinets is that there are limited shapes, sizes, and style available. Also they may not properly fit in the space.
Semi custom is the second most popular cabinet type. They offer a wider range
of style, colors, finish, sizes etc. They are basically stock cabinets whose
certain dimensions can be changed. Their draw back is that the delivery time
is long. It may take a month or longer. They are usually more expensive than
stock.
Custom is the built to order cabinetry. They offer the widest range and options
are much greater. They take the longest delivery time and are most expensive
of the three options. They are made on nonreturnable basis. Kraft- maid is a
leading manufacturer of custom cabinets.

There are certain other points to remember while selecting a cabinet. They
are -
Color, style and finish of the cabinets have to match the bathroom as a whole
and your vanity in particular.
If you have a relatively smaller bathroom and space is an issue, then European
style cabinets can be considered. They use less space because they are frameless.
They are considered an alternative to traditional American ones. The American
cabinets are framed. Cabinets cover the rough edges of each box with a face
frame; drawers and doors are usually partially or completely overlaying the
frame.
